prohibited onboard: wallets, waterbottles, electronics, literature, and dignity
alright Im back like tightening that discomfort in the center of your chest, a little annoyed cuz Little Brother cancelled their show tonight in Camden Town. so mi hermano JD just left after a memorable 2 weeks here (his story to tell). we just returned from a few days stranded in breathtaking Paris, where I managed to lose him on the metro in a drunken stupor (not mine). what an amazing city, Montmartre and Champs Élysée among my favorites, the jazz scene incredible and simply so many things to see (and buy, classic Black Sheep album for 11 euros).
no pics as I forgot my camera in the rush, we woke up 1.5hrs late for our flight, and barely made it, just like last time leaving Luton (remember, Trevor?)
Since we got caught in the middle of the terrorist mess, our flight back to London was cancelled, postponed a day (would have been 2 but for my tongue of silver), then again delayed several more hours, you don't want to be messing aroudn with British airports right now. Heathrow looks like a shantytown, with people sprawled out on their luggage outside and the departure lineups stretching, literally 10 minute walks from beginning to end, and 1 out of 3 flights is grounded indefinitely.
invaluable as our brother-bonding experience was (wouldn't trade it for the world), its great to have my own bed back again and run off the Me itinerary, which is to say, lack of organization (and nutrition) and total impulse. also realized how much I missed being on the road (staying in one spot, slaving and partying, seems ruttish). so im going to stockholm for a few days then returning and immediately going to dublin the next day.
hope this whole islam trendthing blows over by then, my new pet peeve is "random" strip-searches (on the way to work no less). see you soon
