Groningen has pretty women on bicycles but no public toilets and cheap booze.

We are at Martin's place, in Groningen = its a college town about 40,000 but 1:5 kids is a student, everyone rides lots of bikes masterfully and .. I have had much to drink today. We went to the church tower, the 3rd tallest in all the country. All of Holland. I threw a football onto a roof. I had to climb up to said roof to retreive said ball. I peed in a parking lot. Email for video.

Trevor here. Captains log 4190813.

After ascending about 81 spiral metres on brick steps built 1040AD, it's needless to say we were rather spent. Spent that is, until we realized that were we now in control of the Bells of Groningen. Upon the discovery that we had a ridiculous amount of noise at our fingertips, we set about making the people below us as uncomfortable as possible, while maintaining a hearty amount of laughter. Once we realized we could not actually see the people suffering, we got kinda bored and headed back down to the base of the church. Patrick, Martin and I then proceeded to the local watering hole, only to discover (well first, that mustard soup and beer go together pretty well) but that a half litre of Heineken costs a mere 1.50 Euros. (2 bucks)
We were only there for about 45 min, but it made shopping for the rest of the afternoon quite pleasant. We got flipflops for Greece, and on an impulse purchased a football. (great conversation starter - Hey, why are you climbing onto my roof? ((ask patrick))) Last but not least, we hit the supermarket, where we discovered not only our Kits girl, but that a crate of Heineken (24 bottles) was going to run us a steep 9.99 euros. After we got over our mixed feelings of disgust and hatred for the bar that obviously ripped us off, we grabbed the cheap beer and have been imbibing the jewel of holland ever since.
In other words, we're doing great. hope you guys are having a good time pulling that 9 to 5er, take care everybody.
